Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Associate/Associate to join the Global Transaction Advisory Group in the Asia region. The role involves performing core financial due diligence, analyzing statements, and drafting insightful reports for private equity and corporate clients.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across accounting, tax, and IT to deliver integrated solutions. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in audit at a Big Four and strong skills in Excel, Power BI, and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting and/or related major.
• CPA or CA certification preferred.
• Big Four experience required.
• Fluent in English, and Mandarin Chinese, Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog or Vietnamese is preferred.
• Ability to travel within the region where practical.

Responsibilities

• Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying risks and deal blockers, and assess the target against benchmarks.
• Analyse detailed financial statements and synthesize data to support management discussions.
• Assess quality of earnings, net assets and cash flows of target companies.
• Prepare deal-oriented reports and presentations highlighting key findings for clients.
• Participate in meetings with target management and client personnel; act as a key contact for day-to-day execution.
• Display ability to manage multiple projects and proactively consult with superiors.
• Self-review project databooks and contribute to quality-of-earnings work with guidance from engagement managers.
• Contribute to engagement issues handling, including scope changes and billing updates.
