Job summary

Siemens AG in Jakarta is seeking an LV electrical design engineer to produce GA drawings, schematics and layout diagrams for LV switchgear, MCCs and distribution panels. You will ensure drawings match project specs and IEC LV standards, using ELCAD and/or EPLAN at expert level.

Experience in industrial or manufacturing projects and knowledge of LV components up to 1000V are essential. The role emphasizes meticulous documentation, revision control and alignment with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of LV electrical design and drawing preparation experience.
• Proven ability to create GA, SLD, schematic and assembly drawings.
• Background in industrial, power distribution or manufacturing projects.
• Expert level proficiency in ELCAD and/or EPLAN for electrical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of LV switchgear components and systems up to 1000V.

Responsibilities

• Work with LV Front Engineers to understand design requirements.
• Translate concepts into accurate electrical drawings and layouts.
• Create GA drawings for LV switchgear, MCCs, and distribution panels.
• Produce detailed schematics, wiring diagrams and control circuits.
• Maintain drawing revision control and project documentation.

• Apply load flow, cable sizing and short circuit considerations.

You’ll create impact by

• Work closely with LV Front Engineers to understand design requirements and specifications
• Translate design concepts and specifications into accurate technical drawings
• Create General Arrangement (GA) drawings for LV switchgear, MCCs, and distribution panels
• Produce detailed schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control circuits
• Develop layout drawings and panel arrangement diagrams
• Maintain drawing revision control and documentation management
• Ensure all drawings align with project requirements and customer specifications
• Utilize ELCAD and/or EPLAN to create high-quality electrical drawings
• Ensure all drawings comply with IEC 61439, IEC 60364, and relevant standards
• 1-5 yearsof experience in LV electrical design and engineering drawing preparation
• Proven experience in creating GA, SLD, schematic, and assembly drawings
• Background in industrial, power distribution, or manufacturing projects
• Proficiency in ELCAD and/or EPLAN- Expert level in creating electrical drawings
• Strong knowledge of LV switchgear components and systems (up to 1000V)
• Understanding of LV distribution panels, MCCs, and control circuits
• Familiarity with LV protection devices (circuit breakers, contactors, relays, meters)
• Knowledge of IEC 61439, IEC 60364, and related LV standards
• Basic understanding of electrical calculations (load flow, cable sizing, short circuit)
