Job summary

MatchaTalent is recruiting a Merchandiser for a luxury fashion retailer in Jakarta. The role focuses on maximizing sales performance and profitability through strategic product assortment, inventory allocation, and merchandising analysis across the boutique network.

You will collaborate with store operations, buying, and commercial teams to analyze sales trends, monitor inventory, and optimize stock distribution, ensuring products align with brand positioning and location needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of merchandising, buying, inventory planning, demand planning, or retail commercial analysis.
• Strong understanding of retail merchandising principles and luxury retail operations.
• Proven ability to analyze retail performance using KPIs like Sell-Through, Stock Turn, AUR, ATV, UPT.
• Proficient in Excel and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance, inventory levels, and merchandising KPIs across all retail boutiques.
• Monitor product performance and provide recommendations for assortment optimization and inventory planning.
• Manage inventory allocation and replenishment strategies to balance stock across locations.
• Track KPIs such as Sell-Through Rate, AUR, ATV, UPT, and Stock Turn.
• Identify slow-moving products and propose redistribution or transfers between boutiques.
• Analyze customer behavior and market trends to optimize assortments and sizing allocations.
• Develop markdown recommendations and promotional strategies to improve turnover while preserving premium branding.
• Collaborate with store management, buying teams, marketing, and operations to align merchandising with commercial objectives.
• Prepare regular merchandising reports, inventory analyses, and sales forecasts for management.
• Support new product launches and seasonal assortment planning.
