Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. Indonesia seeks a senior procurement leader to oversee import/export operations, guide a high-performing logistics and purchasing team, and develop sourcing strategies with international stakeholders.

You will manage supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and process improvements while ensuring compliance and ethical procurement across operations. Five-day onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years' experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain, or materials management, including import/export operations.
• Strong experience in supplier management, contract negotiations, and strategic sourcing.
• Proven success delivering cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
• Leadership experience developing and motivating teams.
• Experience with ERP and inventory management systems.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international logistics operations, including transportation, customs clearance, and import/export activities.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock control, and warehouse operations to ensure supply continuity and accuracy.
• Monitor procurement, logistics, and inventory performance metrics and report to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and ethical procurement standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members fostering accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead purchasing activities including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and procurement of goods and services.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships while driving performance improvements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver procurement efficiencies.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, Indonesia Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing import/export activities, leading a high-performing logistics and purchasing team, developing sourcing strategies, and managing supplier relationships. You will work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Sales, both locally and internationally.

About You

• A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong experience in supplier management, contract negotiations, and strategic sourcing.
