Job summary

3111 UOB Indonesia seeks an in-house legal counsel to provide internal legal services for Wholesale Banking, including drafting and reviewing documents for credit facilities, and negotiating legal terms for transactions. The role requires strong knowledge of banking laws, an ability to work under pressure, and fluency in English.

The candidate should hold a Law degree from a top university with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and will join a dynamic banking team focused on risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Law required with minimum GPA 3.0.
• Minimum 3 years' experience drafting and preparing credit facility agreements or related banking documents.
• Strong knowledge of banking laws and in-house counsel capabilities.
• Good interpersonal and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal legal services including drafting and reviewing legal opinions and documents for Wholesale Banking.
• Negotiate legal terms on behalf of UOBI for credit facility transactions.
• Propose internal legal policy changes and standard documents as needed.
• Manage legal documents related to credit transactions in Wholesale Banking.

Job Description

• Mengimplementasikan sasaran dan langkah strategis yang telah ditetapkan dalam Legal Wholesale Banking Support (“LWS”) terkait dengan pemberian jasa hukum yang berlaku kepada Wholesale Banking sesuai arahan dari LWS Manager atau LWS Head.
• Menjalankan peran sebagai LWS Staff/Manager sesuai dengan anggaran biaya di LWS seefisien mungkin.
• Memberikan pemberian jasa hukum internal, baik berupa persiapan dokumen transaksi (maker/drafter) atau melakukan review atas draft (checker) pendapat hukum, nasihat hukum maupun langkah hukum strategis yang diperlukan oleh Wholesale Banking sebelum unit kerja tersebut mengambil suatu keputusan.
• Mengusulkan perubahan kebijakan hukum internal atau standar dokumen hukum dengan mengacu kepada ketentuan hukum yang berlaku dan/atau praktek terbaik di industri perbankan di Indonesia.
• Melakukan pengelolaan dokumen hukum yang terkait transaksi perkreditan di Wholesale Banking, termasuk tetapi tidak terbatas pada perjanjian kredit dan perjanjian jaminan, untuk mendukung pencapaian target bisnis yang ditetapkan oleh Manajemen.
• Melakukan negosiasi aspek hukum untuk dan atas nama UOBI terkait dengan transaksi perkreditan di Wholesale Banking.
• Mengusulkan bahan pelatihan hukum terkait dengan aspek hukum, khususnya yang terkait dengan transaksi di Wholesale Banking.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor of Law (Strata 1) from a top-rated university with GPA at minimum of 3.
• Have 3-year minimum of work experiences in drafting and preparing credit facility agreements or other banking facilities and security agreements.
• Have excellent knowledge on aspects of banking laws and the capacity to work as a proper in-house legal counsel.
• Have an excellent interpersonal skill
• Capable to communicate in English both verbal and in writing
• Capable of a proper legal logic thinking
• Capable to work under immense pressure from the job.
