Qualifications

Good teaching qualifications as a Shadow Teacher or Learning Support Assistant.
Experience in teaching students with special needs.
Good communication skills and a positive and caring approach.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Understanding of education principles and practices.
Experience coordinating with parents to support a student with learning difficulties.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team.

Responsibilities

To help and support the student attending mainstream class and to provide guidance in completing classroom activities/works when necessary.
To help the student achieve goals stated in the IEP by implementing accommodations.
To bridge communication between classroom teacher, student, Learning Support, parents, and the IEP team.
To perform regular data collection for the IEP team and keep a comprehensive written record.
