Job summary

PT NEW CORAL SEA is actively seeking an experienced agricultural commodity trader in Indonesia to develop and manage trading across domestic, import, export, and re-export channels, focusing on corn, soybeans, wheat, and soybean meal.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or higher, at least five years in trading, a strong network with buyers and suppliers, market analysis and risk management, fluency in English, and willingness to travel within Indonesia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above, with 5+ years of experience in agricultural commodity trading.
• Strong experience in corn, soybeans, wheat or soybean meal. Experience in other agricultural commodities is a plus.
• Strong business development and trading skills, with an established network of customers and suppliers preferred.
• Good market analysis, commercial judgment and risk management skills. Experience in futures, hedging or basis trading is a plus.
• Good command of English, with the ability to handle business negotiations, contracts and correspondence independently. Able to speak Chinese is a plus.
• Proactive, results-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work and travel in Indonesia as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage agricultural commodity trading business in Indonesia, covering domestic trading, import, distribution, export and re-export.
• Focus on key commodities such as corn, soybeans, wheat and soybean meal, while exploring other agricultural commodities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, including feed mills, food processors, agricultural suppliers and international traders.
• Manage the full trading process, including market research, sourcing, pricing, negotiation, contracting, shipment and settlement.
• Monitor market trends, identify trading opportunities and manage key risks related to credit, price, FX, logistics and contract execution.
• Achieve business volume and profit targets and support the growth of the agricultural commodities business in Indonesia.
