Job summary

Saipem is seeking a senior Structural Engineer to lead a field engineering team for major EPCI projects. You will coordinate with peers, interface with other discipline leaders, and ensure all design clarifications are addressed in collaboration with the engineering center.

The role requires deep knowledge of structural engineering practice, familiarity with fabrication and installation techniques, and proven leadership in delivering interfaces for offshore/onshore projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years as Structural Engineer in EPCI or related fields.
• Proven leadership of structural field engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of international structural standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural field engineering team of engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with peers and Field Engineering Manager for alignment.

How can you support us? Here are below your responsibilities:

• Manage leadership of structural field engineering team consisting of engineers & designers.
• Liaise with peer counterpart from Company side with prior consent of Field Engineering Manager.
• Manage coordination and interface with other discipline’s field engineering team leaders.
• Close coordination with, and report to Field Engineering Manager.
• Provide clarification for any yard queries in interpretation of drawings
• Provide clarification for any inconsistencies found in engineering drawings.
• Provide engineering solution/proposal to yard fabrication issues (if any), or to involve engineering center if required.
• Ensure all changes are documented through formal queries and provide evaluation and approval to the queries in coordination with engineering center.
• Provide fabrication status to project team (in case of changes of design).

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 10-15 years of working experience as Structural Engineer in EPCI or related fields
• Advanced knowledge of Structural Engineering design criteria, methods and workflows from conceptual phase up to site engineering phase.
• Familiarity with fabrication and installation techniques.
• User level knowledge of SACS software.
• Advanced knowledge of main International structural standards, codes and regulations.
• Advanced capability in project resource leadership, coordination, planning and scheduling.
• Capability to handle Subcontractor management and control.
