Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on static and rotating HVAC equipment to support offshore FPSO and onshore projects. You will lead HVAC design efforts, develop design philosophies, and generate technical specifications for critical environments.

Responsibilities include heat load calculations, ducting layouts, P&ID reviews, and coordinating a team of engineers and designers to deliver accurate HVAC deliverables across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in mechanical or ACMV Engineering.
• Knowledge in HVAC system design including P&ID and schematic diagrams.
• Awareness of SMACNA standards.
• Ability to support and coordinate with a team of engineers and designers.
• Knowledge of HVAC design fundamentals.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, PDMS, SP3D, Navisworks and Smart Plant Review.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Manhour Estimates for HVAC scope on Offshore Platform/FPSO projects and onshore projects.
• Prepare HVAC design philosophy and technical specifications for HVAC equipment.
• Prepare HVAC air flow diagrams and schematic drawings.
• Prepare HVAC D & ID drawings.
• Carry out heat load and ACMV calculations per ASHRAE for control rooms, electrical rooms and substations.
• Prepare HVAC ducting layout drawings.
• Prepare RFQ/TBE for HVAC equipment.
• Update HVAC master equipment list.
• Prepare cause & effect diagrams for HVAC.
• Review equipment GA’s, P&IDs, ducting layout and chilled water piping layout.
• Prepare duct supports, ventilation system design and drawings, air conditioning system design and drawings.
• Manage team of HVAC engineers/designers.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in mechanical or ACMV Engineering with more than 15 years’ experience in HVAC/ACMV.
• Knowledge in HVAC system design including Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Schematic diagram
• Awareness in SMACNA
• Ability to support and coordinate with a team of engineers and Designers
• Knowledge of HVAC design fundamentals
• Knowledge of software tools – AutoCAD, PDMS, SP3D, Navisworks, Smart Plant Review
