Job summary

MatchaTalent is assisting a global ICT leader in Jakarta to recruit a Commissioning (CX) Engineer for data center projects. You will plan, coordinate, and lead end-to-end commissioning across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and BMS systems, ensuring readiness for client handover.

The role demands 5+ years in data center commissioning, strong leadership, and proven experience with FAT, SAT, FPT, and IST. Travel and on-site work during critical testing windows are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of data center commissioning experience.
• Proven leadership in large-scale data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of FAT, SAT, FPT, IST and commissioning documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commissioning strategies, master test plans, procedures, and detailed test scripts.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, functional testing, IST, and final commissioning activities.
• Prepare commissioning documentation, testing procedures, method statements, and project deliverables.
• Define commissioning equipment requirements, testing tools, and BOQ for load banks and testing instruments.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and testing vendors to support schedules and execution.
• Lead on-site commissioning activities involving electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, BMS, and other systems.
• Supervise subcontractors during testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
• Conduct IST, power failure simulations, redundancy validation, and performance testing.
• Identify commissioning issues, manage punch-list items, and verify resolution prior to handover.
• Serve as primary technical liaison with clients and stakeholders during commissioning and acceptance.
