Job summary

MatchaTalent's client, a prominent Indonesian architectural and engineering consultancy, seeks a Lead Civil Engineer to direct civil and structural design across industrial, commercial, and development projects.

You will oversee technical calculations, IFC documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination with architects and MEP teams, ensuring compliance with SNI and regulatory requirements, while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
STRI (Surat Tanda Registrasi Insinyur) is mandatory.
SKA/SKK Level 8 (Ahli Madya) in Civil or Structural Engineering is mandatory.
Minimum 7 years of hands-on civil/structural design experience, including industrial projects and as Engineer-in-Charge or equivalent.
Experience in architectural/engineering consultancy or civil/structural design firms.
Proven experience managing projects from conceptual design to IFC documentation.
Strong expertise in structural modelling, seismic analysis per SNI, wind load, foundation design, RC/steel detailing.
Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD is required.
Familiarity with BIM and Revit Structure is a plus.
Professional English proficiency for technical communication.
Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving; able to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead civil and structural design activities with responsibility for structural integrity and compliance.
Perform, review, and approve structural analyses, foundation designs, RC and steel detailing, and specifications.
Guide projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering and IFC documentation.
Ensure designs comply with Indonesian National Standards (SNI) and seismic/wind requirements.
Coordinate with architectural and MEP teams for integrated structures.
Review shop drawings, rebar schedules, material submittals, and RFIs.
Provide technical guidance on design challenges, site conditions, and constructability.
Oversee QA/QC of calculations, specs, and drawings.
Mentor junior engineers, drafters, and external consultants.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities on technical matters.
