Job summary

MatchaTalent seeks a Lead Civil Engineer in Jakarta, Indonesia to lead civil and structural design across industrial and commercial projects. You will oversee calculations, IFC documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination with architecture and MEP teams.

The candidate will have strong expertise in seismic analysis, wind loads, and foundation design per Indonesian standards, with at least 7 years of relevant experience and professional registrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Valid STRI registration mandatory.
• Valid SKA/SKK Level 8 (Ahli Madya) mandatory.
• Minimum 7 years hands-on civil/structural design experience.
• Experience as Engineer-in-Charge or technical lead preferred.
• Experience in architectural/engineering consultancies required.
• Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or STAAD.Pro.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
• Familiarity with BIM/Revit Structure is a strong advantage.
• Professional English proficiency essential.
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Willing to work in a hybrid setup in North Jakarta and conduct site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural design with responsibility for integrity and compliance.
• Perform, review, and approve structural analyses and foundation designs.
• Lead projects from conceptual design to IFC documentation.
• Ensure designs meet SNI, seismic/wind requirements, and SLF/PBG standards.
• Coordinate with architectural/MEP teams for structural integration.
• Review shop drawings, bar bending schedules, submittals, RFIs.
• Provide technical guidance addressing design challenges and site conditions.
• Oversee QA of calculations, specs, and construction documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with external consultants.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and authorities on technical matters.
• Identify risks and optimize structures to meet schedules.
