Job summary

The British School of Bali is seeking an enthusiastic Languages Specialist to introduce children to an additional language. The role welcomes applicants with a strong knowledge of any language other than English, and values passion for sharing language with primary pupils.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, foster confidence in speaking and writing, and contribute to the Mandarin curriculum development while aligning with safeguarding and school policies.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching languages to primary-aged children.
• Native or near-native proficiency in the chosen language.
• Good standard of spoken and written English.
• Experience in international or bilingual school environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver well-structured language lessons for primary pupils.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment fostering active language learning.
• Support pupils in speaking, listening, reading and writing in the chosen language.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop language curriculum and resources.
• Attend staff meetings and engage in safeguarding policies.
