Job summary

Peachblossoms National Plus School in Bekasi, West Java, seeks a qualified Mandarin Teacher for Kindergarten and Primary Grade to introduce young learners to Chinese language and culture. You will design engaging lessons, use interactive activities, and assess progress while maintaining records and communicating with parents and staff.

The ideal candidate has native or near-native Mandarin, a teaching qualification, at least two years of experience with young learners, strong classroom

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Mandarin with strong speaking and writing skills.
• Formal qualification or certification in teaching Mandarin as a foreign language.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching Mandarin to young learners.
• Understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate methods.
• Excellent classroom management and engaging environment.
• Strong interpersonal and school-communication skills; English proficiency.
• Creativity in curriculum design and lesson planning.
• Patience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching young children.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners.
• Experience in international or bilingual settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Mandarin lessons tailored to kindergarten and primary students.
• Create a dynamic classroom with interactive activities, games, songs, and storytelling.
• Assess progress in speaking, reading, and writing; maintain records.
• Communicate with parents and colleagues about student progress and challenges.
• Collaborate with educators to integrate Mandarin across the curriculum where possible.
• Participate in school events, cultural celebrations, and PD activities.
