Job summary

PT Winnersumbiri Knitting Factory in Indonesia is seeking an experienced Lab Manager to oversee daily testing activities and ensure adherence to established standards and customer requirements. You will coordinate with QC, Production, and Merchandising while investigating non-conformities and driving corrective actions.

The role requires a Bachelor in Chemical or Textile Engineering with at least 5 years in a textile lab leadership position, fluent English, and strong knowledge of testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in chemical or textile engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years as Lab Manager/Head of Lab in a textile mill.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Profound knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and QC standards.
• Experience with global customer lab accreditations is preferred.
• Hands-on with compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily laboratory testing activities.
• Ensure testing procedures meet established standards and procedures.
• Coordinate with QC, Production, Merchandising on testing needs and results.

Job description

Manage and supervise daily laboratory testing activities.

Ensure all testing procedures are conducted accurately and according to established standards and procedures.

Coordinate with Quality Control, Production, Merchandising, and other related departments regarding testing requirements and results.

Investigate and follow up on test failures or non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable international testing standards.

Coordinate with external laboratories when required.

Continuously improve laboratory processes, testing efficiency, and quality control systems.

REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering / Textile Engineering.

Min. 5 years experiences as Lab Manager / Head of Lab in a Textile mills.

Fluent in English (Spoken and Wrotten).

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience in handling minimum 3 global costumers lab accroditations.

Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and quality control standards.

Good understanding of textile/fabric testing methods and standards is an advantage.

Hands on experience on compliance requirement.

Have good a relationship with external labs / local buying hubs would be ad added advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Good leadership and team management skills.
