Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking engineers to lead process design, simulation and safety studies across a range of global projects. You will develop heat and material balances, PFDs and P&IDs, and ensure documentation consistency.

Qualifications

• Experience with process design and simulation
• Ability to develop heat and material balances
• Familiarity with PFDs and P&IDs

Responsibilities

• Utilize simulation software to develop heat and material balances.
• Create PFDs and P&IDs, ensuring consistency across project documents.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, piping design, utility requirements, and equipment sizing (e.g., pumps, vessels, heat exchangers).
• Generate process datasheets for equipment and instruments and update technical documentation.
• Assist with feasibility studies, conceptual design, and detailed engineering phases.
• Review vendor submissions to ensure alignment with design specifications.
• Contribute to safety studies (HAZOP/HAZID) and ensure designs conform to safety standards, environmental regulations, and company codes.
• Assist during commissioning and start-up phases, providing troubleshooting support.
• Support BD activities (pre-sales and proposal preparation) if required.
• Work as project control and document control whenever required by projects.
• Perform sustainable energy related tasks as secondary role when required.
