Job summary

PT PUSAT GADAI INDONESIA is seeking a Junior Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend services. You will work with Kotlin, PHP, Golang, Spring Boot, or Laravel to build RESTful APIs and integrate with MySQL/MariaDB. You will collaborate closely with frontend teams and QA, and participate in nightly deployment cycles.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of backend concepts in at least one language/framework: Kotlin, PHP, Golang, Spring Boot, or Laravel.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating services.
• Familiarity with MySQL/MariaDB and version control (Git).
• Familiarity with API documentation tools (Postman or Bruno).
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Junior Backend Developer (Spring Boot Kotlin / PHP Laravel / Golang)

• Strong understanding and knowledge of concepts and implementations in one of these languages or frameworks: Kotlin, PHP, Golang, Spring Boot, Laravel


• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.


• Familiarity with relational database (MySQL / MariaDB).


• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.


• Familiarity with API documentation tools, such as Postman or Bruno.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.


• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.


• Ability to work on nighttimes (21.30 upwards) during scheduled deployments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, code, and maintain APIs in the backend service.


• Implement new features and changes according to business needs.


• Work closely with frontend developers and quality assurances / testers to ensure developed features are well-implemented.


• Troubleshoot and inspect technical problems that may arise in production environment.


• Take part in communications and discussions with stakeholders and users to ensure alignment with their needs.

Interview and Recruitment Steps:

1. Shortlisted candidate will be contacted, and we will arrange a 1-hour Google Meet session interview, split into:

• 30 minutes of casual interview (introduction, getting to know more about you and your experience).


• 30 minutes of live coding session. Case study of a simple programming task (variables, if logic, loop logic, arrays).

You may use any language / framework you are most proficient with. Open book / browsing allowed, AI allowed but strictly for asking question (not copy-pasting code). You must be able to explain every line you use. Please prepare an IDE without AI auto-completion, or if you like it the native way, you may use a plain simple notepad/++.

2. Successful candidates who passed the interview will be contacted for explanations of job offering, compensation, and benefits.

3. Psychotest (Matematika dasar, ketelitian, kepribadian, dan kognitif) and administration, and we're done!
