Job summary

PT PERSOL RECRUITMENT INDONESIA is seeking a Japanese Interpreter for our client in Depok, West Java. The role focuses on interpreting between Japanese expatriates and Indonesian staff during meetings and online sessions.

You will translate documents, support coordination between Japanese management and local teams, and help prevent misunderstandings caused by language or culture. This is a long-term, on-site position based in Depok.

Qualifications

• Japanese proficiency required (JLPT N2 or above).
• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia, Japanese (N2 preferred, N3 acceptable) and English (intermediate-advanced).
• Experience interpreting in meetings, including online meetings with Japan side.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between Japanese expatriates and local staff during meetings and discussions.
• Provide real-time interpretation for online meetings with Japan.
• Translate work-related documents and internal communications when needed.
• Support coordination between Japanese management and local teams.

We're currently assisting one of our multionational clients, specializing in manufacture, located in Depok, West Java to look for Japanese Interpreter position.

Responsibilities:

Provide Japanese–Indonesian interpretation between Japanese expatriates and local Indonesian employees.

Interpret during internal meetings and discussions.

Support online meetings with Japan, including real-time interpretation when required.

Translate work-related documents and internal communications when necessary.

Support communication and coordination between Japanese management and local teams.

Assist Japanese expatriates and local employees in avoiding misunderstandings caused by language or cultural differences.

Take on a broader coordination role as experience develops.

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma or Bachelor Degree.

Japanese proficiency: JLPT N2 or above.

Able to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia, Japanese (N2 preferable, but N3 is welcome to apply), and English (Intermediate to Advanced level).

Have similar working experience in interpretation during meetings, including online meetings with Japan side, or assisting Japanese people.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to work in Depok.

Willing to work for the company on a long-term basis.
