Job summary

TACO Group is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to safeguard and optimize our VMware-based environment. You will manage servers, networks, and storage, ensure high availability, and implement robust backup and recovery mechanisms.

The role requires hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, virtualization, network design, and monitoring tools. You will collaborate across teams, document systems, and respond to incidents under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field.
• 2+ years in IT infrastructure managing VMware and virtualization.
• Experience in advanced network design, configuration, and management.
• Setup and management of VMware vSphere and related products.
• Server virtualization and performance optimization.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Subnetting.
• Network devices management (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Advanced network troubleshooting.
• Backup tools such as Veeam or Zerto; backup & recovery strategies.
• Cloud computing knowledge (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• IT monitoring systems (Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds).
• Scripting: PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Teamwork and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability and performance of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage).
• Manage and maintain VMware environment, including troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Design and implement backup and recovery solutions according to business needs.
• Coordinate with other teams to maintain system integrity and data security.
• Create technical documentation related to IT infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in IT infrastructure, specifically in managing VMware and virtualization technologies.
• Experience in advanced network design, configuration, and management.
• Installation, configuration, and management of VMware vSphere and related products.
• Experience in server virtualization and performance optimization.
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Subnetting).
• Management of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Advanced network troubleshooting.
• Setup and management of physical servers and SAN-based storage.
• Knowledge of RAID, iSCSI, and other storage technologies.
