Job summary

Grab seeks an iOS Software Engineer based in Jakarta to build features for the driver app, including communications, AI-assisted workflows, and offline-first screens. You’ll work with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data analysts to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.

You will report to the Software Engineering Manager and contribute to code that performs reliably in real-world conditions across Southeast Asia.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of professional iOS development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Swift and iOS SDK.
• Familiarity with mobile architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER).
• Experience integrating iOS apps with RESTful APIs or backend services.
• Experience with unit/integration testing for iOS.
• Interest in AI-assisted coding tools and modern development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop iOS features for driver apps using Swift.
• Integrate iOS apps with backend APIs and platform components.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to define requirements.
• Write testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Address performance and offline capability issues through testing.
• Contribute to app stability via unit and integration tests.
