Job summary

IKEA Indonesia seeks a showroom designer to translate insights into locally relevant, attractive and commercial home furnishing solutions. You will help create varied showrooms, plan range presentations, and collaborate with the Interior Design team to drive profitability.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit is expected, along with flexible, hands-on execution and a strong grasp of life at home in the Indonesian market.

Qualifications

Job description

Use home furnishing competence to create home furnishing solutions updates and knowledgeable about home furnishing, retailing to contribute in workshops to generate creative ideas.

Actively contribute in the gathering of insights from home visit interviews and translating this knowledge into locally relevant, functional, aesthetic and commercial home furnishing solutions that exceed customer expectations and reflect home furnishing the IKEA way

Secure high quality, simplicity, efficiency and cost consciousness when planning and implementing all range presentation solutions using global tools and best practices.

Contribute to the creation of a Showroom matrix that reflects a wide variety of styles, living situations and price levels to create a good tempo with distinct visual impressions.

Ensure and execute the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support long term profitability and execute the agreed plans together with the Communication & Interior Design team and other functions

Keep visitors in mind when working, ensure disruption is minimized and stay aware of the importance of safety and the visual impact for visitors at all times.

We want you to be a person who:

Ability to combine commercial, aesthetic and practical skills especially in residences and commercial would be a plus.

Have a flexible and hands-on approach to responsibilities as well as the ability to meet set deadlines.

Understand life at home in the local market and the outcome of market research. Passionate with home furnishing, retailing, and design. Able to draw, visualize and present ideas

In-depth knowledge of furniture systems and finishes, while also demonstrate understanding of basic principles in space planning.

Professional behavior with IKEA values in mind, dare to do things in a different way, ability to be flexible, manage change and adapt to new ways of working.

Confident in approaching, communicating clearly with different people in various situations.

Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using relevant software (e.g. AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit).
