Job summary

PT TDK Electronics INDONESIA is seeking a Product Development - Design and Simulation Engineer in Batam to advance high-quality, cost-effective electronics products. You will develop and execute simulation models, perform FEA, thermal and structural analyses, and validate results with tests.

Collaborate across design, manufacturing and project teams to optimize product performance, identify design risks, and prepare detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Product Design, Industrial Design or Mechanical design.
• 3 years in electronics component industry related to product design and prototype design.
• Hands-on experience in simulation software (Ansys, SolidWorks), CAD software (AUTOCAD, Pro-E).
• Strong knowledge of FEA, stress and thermal analysis, and GD&T.
• Excellent communication in English; able to work independently under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute simulation models to analyze product, process, and system performance.
• Perform engineering simulations such as Finite Element Analysis, thermal analysis, and structural analysis.
• Validate simulation results through testing, experiments, and comparison with real-world data.
• Interpret simulation data and provide recommendations for design improvements.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and project teams to optimize product performance.
• Identify potential design risks and evaluate alternative engineering solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation of simulation results.
• Ensure simulation methodologies comply with industry standards and project requirements.
• Support product development, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis activities.
• Continuously improve simulation processes, models, and tools to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in design verification and provide engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams and vendors.
