Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience configuring and operating injection moulding machines.
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes, equipment and parameters (temp, pressure, speed, cooling).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machine specifications.
• Experience with PLC systems and basic troubleshooting.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Configure and set up injection moulding machines per technical specs and production needs.
• Calibrate parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, injection time) for optimal runs.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics to prevent breakdowns.
• Monitor performance and adjust controls to maintain quality.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Test produced components to verify compliance with specs.
• Document machine settings, maintenance, and production data accurately.
• Collaborate with production and QA to optimise output and efficiency.
• Train junior technicians on machine operation and best practices.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations are followed.
