Job summary
PT. Polygroup Manufaktur Indonesia seeks an Industrial Engineering Assistant Manager to join our Kendal Regency facility in Central Java.
This full-time role supports the Industrial Engineering Manager in optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. You will lead lean initiatives, assist in plant layouts, monitor safety and quality, and collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to sustain world-class manufacturing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing operations
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement
- Proficiency with engineering analysis tools and software (AutoCAD, ERP systems, production planning tools)
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- English proficiency; Mandarin a plus
- Experience in polymer or plastics manufacturing preferred
- ISO quality management system certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Support development and implementation of standards, processes and procedures to optimize manufacturing operations
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements
- Analyse production data and workflows to set KPIs and performance benchmarks
- Collaborate with production teams to apply lean principles and reduce waste
- Assist design and optimization of plant layouts and line configurations
- Monitor safety compliance and support safety improvement programs
- Prepare reports on production efficiency, equipment performance and cost reduction opportunities
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure equipment performance and product quality
- Train and mentor production staff on new processes and best practices
- Support evaluation and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment
- Assist budgeting, cost analysis and resource allocation for engineering projects
