Job summary

PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk is seeking an experienced professional to lead emergency response activities at its Konawe site. The role focuses on training, rapid incident response, and maintaining critical safety systems and PPE to ensure readiness for industrial emergencies.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years in emergency response, fire and rescue, or HSE roles within large-scale industrial settings. Willingness to base in Konawe is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Emergency Management, Fire Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Emergency Response, Fire & Rescue, HSE, or similar roles, preferably in industrial, mining, smelter, manufacturing, or large-scale industrial areas.
• Strong knowledge of Emergency Response Management, Fire Fighting, Rescue, First Aid, and Incident Management.
• Experience in conducting emergency drills, simulations, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness programs.
• Willing to be based in Konawe.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular emergency drills, simulations, and training to improve team competency and emergency preparedness.
• Ensure all emergency response equipment, fire protection systems, rescue equipment, PPE, and emergency facilities are available and properly maintained.
• Coordinate with HSE, Security, Operations, Maintenance, and other departments during emergency situations.
• Coordinate with external emergency agencies such as local fire departments, hospitals, police, and other relevant authorities when required.
• Conduct incident response evaluation and prepare emergency/incident reports, including root-cause and corrective action follow-up where applicable.
