Job summary
SCG Indonesia is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design, review, and improve electrical systems for industrial operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while meeting project specs and SCG standards.
You will prepare drawings, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, support procurement with technical documents, and assist during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 0–5 years of experience in electrical design for industrial plants, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, design standards, and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, E-Plan).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Responsibilities
- Design and prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations for plant equipment and systems.
- Review technical requirements and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and process engineers on cross-functional projects.
- Support procurement by preparing technical documents and evaluating vendor proposals.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct feasibility studies and propose design improvements for energy efficiency and reliability.
- Document all design work and maintain an organized design database for future reference.
