Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – SCG Indonesia

The Maintenance Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of SCG’s manufacturing facilities. With a focus on mechanical systems and equipment, this position involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement projects that keep production lines running at optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production teams to plan maintenance windows without disrupting operations.
• Review equipment performance data and recommend upgrades or improvements.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and environmental standards.
• Prepare reports on maintenance performance, downtime analysis, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in plant maintenance or mechanical engineering roles; fresh graduates with strong internships may be considered.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and maintenance methodologies.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CMMS is an advantage.
• Clear communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

This role provides a strong foundation for advancement into senior engineering, reliability, or plant management positions within SCG.
