Job summary

Ideal candidates have extensive experience leading electrical teams in heavy manufacturing, with strong PLC/SCADA and automation expertise and a focus on safety and uptime.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years in industrial electrical systems with 5+ years in management.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, PLC, SCADA, and automation.
  • Familiar with Indonesian electrical codes, safety regulations, ISO standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical system management and maintenance in a steel plant.
  • Oversee power distribution, control panels, automation, and motors.
  • Maintain preventive/predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all electrical systems, maintenance, and installations within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all equipment, power systems, and electrical infrastructure operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing electrical teams in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical System Management
  • Oversee operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems including power distribution, control panels, automation, and motors.
  • Ensure minimal downtime through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Manage upgrades, repairs, and modifications to electrical equipment and systems.
  • Understand PLS, SCADA, Automation Steel and Instrumentation
  • Lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure proper training and development.
  • Coordinate shift schedules and support 24/7 plant operations as needed.
3. Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with national electrical codes and industrial safety standards.
  • Lead efforts in electrical safety programs, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Liaise with government or certification bodies for inspections or approvals.
4. Project Management
  • Plan and execute electrical-related projects such as installations of new machines, energy efficiency improvements, or automation upgrades.
  • Prepare project budgets, timelines, and reports for management review.
5.Collaboration with Other Departments
  • Work closely with production, mechanical maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure smooth and safe operations.
  • Support the commissioning of new machines or electrical modifications during production expansions.
6. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of wiring diagrams, load analysis, and maintenance records.
  • Prepare monthly reports on electrical performance, downtime, and improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in industrial electrical systems, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, PLC, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
  • Familiar with Indonesian electrical codes, safety regulations, and ISO standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and good communication skills in english
  • Willing to be on-call for urgent maintenance or emergency support.
