Job summary

Wise in Jakarta, Indonesia is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Officer to strengthen the compliance team. Based in Jakarta, you will work with the Financial Crime Compliance Officer and a global team to maintain regulatory reporting, audits, and governance.

You will educate teams on Indonesian regulatory requirements, develop risk-based processes, and collaborate with product and operations to embed compliance across the business.

Qualifications

• Expert in cross-border payments compliance and regulatory interactions.
• 8+ years designing and challenging processes across products.
• Interested in FinTech/payments compliance and growth in a scale-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Improve the compliance program aligned with Wise's mission for instant, convenient, and transparent services.
• Maintain regulatory licence for Indonesia: reporting, liaison, and audits.
• Build trust with regulators through meaningful reporting and proactive communication of product changes.
• Maintain compliance frameworks, policies and documentation and lead audits.
• Develop systems to track regulatory risk and ensure adherence to policies.
• Educate teams on Indonesian regulatory requirements and empower risk-based processes.
• Test and improve compliance programs, address audit findings, and coordinate with operations.
• Travel to operational offices as needed and collaborate with global Product and Operational teams.
