Job summary

MatchaTalent in Jakarta seeks an Overseas Compliance Specialist to strengthen regulatory alignment and legal risk management for Indonesia operations. The role reports to the Head of Compliance and bridges local operations with external counsel, regulators, and global teams.

You will monitor regulatory developments, review contracts, develop risk maps, deliver training, and lead incident resolution in a fast-paced multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Law from a reputable university.
• Valid legal practicing qualification or Bar Admission (PERADI or equivalent).
• Minimum 3+ years in compliance, governance, regulatory affairs, or law.
• International compliance certifications preferred (CAMS, CFCS, CIPP/E, CIPM, ICA).
• Fluent English; Mandarin preferred for global reporting.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain communication with regulatory authorities, external counsel, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory developments and identify potential legal and compliance risks.
• Develop and maintain compliance risk maps with practical mitigations.
• Review contracts, partnership agreements, and sensitive documents for compliance.
• Identify compliance exposure and provide actionable recommendations to teams.
• Lead and coordinate resolution of compliance incidents with proper documentation.
• Monitor implementation across units and alignment with policies.
• Deliver internal compliance training to strengthen awareness.
• Support localization of global compliance policies for Indonesia.
• Prepare compliance reports, risk assessments, and management updates.
