Job summary

Thoth AI in Indonesia seeks a City Manager to lead the F&B local services business, owning end-to-end merchant acquisition, onboarding, activation, transactions and GMV growth, while building a city-wide BD organization.

You will collaborate with the Indonesia local team and China HQ, translate objectives into actionable plans, and drive cross-functional initiatives to deliver measurable results. Strong leadership and Mandarin proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree or above.
• 5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Merchant Acquisition, or related commercial roles.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience managing 50–70+ frontline sales/BD headcount is highly preferred.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin Chinese.
• Willingness to travel for merchant visits.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end F&B city business including merchant acquisition, onboarding, activation, transactions and GMV growth.
• Develop and scale the city BD organization with Team Leaders and frontline BD teams.
• Translate company objectives into city targets and execution plans.
• Monitor city KPIs and drive improvements based on data.
• Build local partnerships with F&B associations and merchant networks.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Marketing, and HQ.
• Manage key merchants and strategic accounts and participate in negotiations.
• Drive merchant growth through activation, engagement and retention.
• Regularly review performance with HQ and local leadership.
• Ensure scalable, repeatable processes from City Manager to BD team.
