Job summary

BIC World in Jakarta, Indonesia seeks a Business Development Manager to drive growth of Shavers, Lighters & Stationery in the Indonesian market. You will manage distributor relationships, plan strategic initiatives, and lead a commercial direct report to achieve annual sales targets and improve market share.

The role requires deep knowledge of the Indonesian market, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to execute cross-functional plans with marketing, finance, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years in business development, sales, or related field.
• Experience in FMCG/consumer goods industry beneficial.
• Business-level English proficiency.
• Strong understanding of Indonesia market and practices.
• Proven track record in distributor management and negotiations.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Online commerce know-how to leverage digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and market share growth.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in Indonesia.
• Identify, onboard and manage distributors to expand market coverage.
• Lead the commercial direct report and provide guidance and development.
• Prepare and manage budgets and monitor financial performance to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on performance and initiatives.
