Job summary

.TEMU is expanding its F&B footprint across Jakarta, Medan, and Bali and seeks an In-House Architect to oversee outlet design, construction, renovation, and maintenance while upholding brand standards.

You will work with Operations, Purchasing, MEP teams, and contractors to deliver projects on time, perform site inspections, and ensure safety and quality. The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture/Interior Design and 1–2 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in architecture or fit-out projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp with 3D modeling and rendering.
• Understanding of construction, interior fit-out, materials, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits of outlets to identify defects.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs to minimize disruption to operations.
• Develop design concepts and space plans for renovations per brand guidelines.
• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D visualizations using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Select finishing materials prioritizing durability, hygiene, and safety.
• Supervise contractors to ensure quality and adherence to specs.
• Monitor progress, quality, and timelines to openings.
• Coordinate with Store Managers, Purchasing, and MEP teams on requirements.

Job description

As our F&B business continues to grow across Jakarta, Medan, and Bali, we are looking for an In-House Architect (F&B) to oversee outlet design, construction, renovation, and maintenance, ensuring each space reflects our brand identity while meeting operational, quality, and safety standards.

About the Role

You will work closely with Operations, Purchasing, MEP teams, and external contractors to manage outlet projects, conduct site inspections, and ensure all projects are delivered on time and in line with .TEMU’s design standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular site inspections and physical condition audits of existing outlets to identify building defects, including wall cracks, water leaks, damaged flooring, ceiling issues, and loose or damaged tiles.

Coordinate and monitor maintenance and repair works to ensure timely resolution with minimal disruption to outlet operations.

Develop design concepts and space planning for renovation projects in accordance with .TEMU's brand guidelines.

Prepare technical and working drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp, including 2D drawings and 3D visualizations, for renovations and maintenance projects.

Identify and recommend suitable building and interior finishing materials that meet F&B industry requirements, prioritizing durability, hygiene, safety, and ease of maintenance.

Supervise contractors and vendors throughout construction, renovation, and interior fit-out projects to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with approved designs and specifications.

Monitor project progress, construction quality, and timelines to ensure outlets are completed according to schedule and ready for opening.

Identify construction defects and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and vendors.

Work closely with Store Managers and the Operations team to identify, document, and prioritize maintenance issues and repair requests.

Coordinate with Purchasing and MEP teams regarding material procurement, technical requirements, and maintenance implementation.

Prepare inspection reports, document site findings, and provide regular updates on maintenance progress and project status.

About You

Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Architecture or Interior Design.

Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in architecture, interior design, or fit-out projects.

Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp, including 3D modeling and rendering.

Good understanding of construction, interior fit-out, building materials, and maintenance.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in problem-solving and project coordination.

Able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and conduct regular site visits across outlets.
