Job summary

Manulife John Hancock Indonesia seeks a qualified accounting professional to manage IFRS 17/PSAK 117 reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls within a fast-paced insurance environment.

You will prepare audit-ready working papers, coordinate with regional stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery of deliverables. A bachelor's degree in accounting and 4–5 years of experience are required, with fluent English and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Familiarity with IFRS 17/PSAK 117.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments and regional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recurring accounting and financial reporting deliverables under IFRS 17/PSAK 117.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations; investigate variances and document root causes.
• Perform financial control activities over accounting data and reporting; retain evidence of controls.
• Support external audit requirements with audit-ready working papers and documentation.
• Coordinate resolution of IFRS 17 accounting and reporting issues with stakeholders; escalate as needed.
• Monitor monthly balance sheet reconciliations and aging; escalate significant issues.
