Job summary

The Magnum Ice Cream Company in Indonesia seeks a Payroll SME to oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, statutory compliance, and effective vendor management. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to deliver a high-quality payroll service and drive process improvements while maintaining strong controls.

• 10+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of Indonesia payroll processes and statutory regulations.
• Experience working with payroll vendors and outsourced payroll models.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute payroll processing activities, validations, reconciliations, and quality control checks.
• Review payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, employee movements, and compensation changes.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries.
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery.
• Support payroll projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and validate statutory filings, payroll reports, and compliance documentation.
• Support payroll funding coordination and SOX/audit requirements.
• Prepare payroll dashboards, metrics, and analysis for stakeholders.
• Maintain payroll SOPs and process documentation.

Job Purpose

The Payroll SME is responsible for supporting end-to-end payroll operations for Indonesia, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, statutory compliance, effective vendor management, and excellent employee support. This role works closely with HR, Finance, Treasury, and external payroll vendors to deliver a high-quality payroll service while driving process improvements and maintaining strong payroll controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute payroll processing activities, validations, reconciliations, and quality control checks.
• Review payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, employee movements, and compensation changes.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee queries, and payroll-related issues.
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery and issue resolution.
• Support payroll projects, system enhancements, testing activities, and process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and validate statutory filings, payroll reports, and compliance documentation.
• Support payment validation, payroll funding coordination, and SOX/audit requirements.
• Prepare payroll dashboards, metrics, and analysis for business and HR stakeholders.
• Maintain payroll SOPs, process documentation, checklists, and knowledge materials.
• Identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Willing to work from the office in accordance with company policy.
