Job summary

Manulife is seeking an Operations Excellence - Claim professional to advance process improvements across life insurance workflows, from onboarding to claims. You will analyze current processes, map gaps, and design targeted changes that boost efficiency and service quality.

In this role, you will lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, partner with underwriting, actuarial, IT and compliance, and develop KPI dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Min 6 years of experience in insurance operations, business process improvements, business analysis.
• Strong understanding of life insurance operations and process flows.
• Ability to map operational requirements to business process improvements
• Strong communication, facilitation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Process Analysis & Optimization across life insurance functions, map current processes.
• Identify inefficiencies, compliance risks, and customer pain points; recommend improvements.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables with regulatory alignment.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, IT, customer service, and compliance; drive adoption.
• Develop KPIs and monitor impact of changes; report results to stakeholders.
• Maintain SOPs and process documentation aligned with industry standards and audits.
• Support change initiatives by creating training materials and communication plans.
