Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• 2-4 years in credit control, collections, or accounts receivable.
• Knowledge of credit control principles and collection techniques.
• Experience with credit reporting agencies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer account balances and process incoming payments.
• Contact customers to follow up on overdue invoices and collect payments.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer communications.
• Identify and report on delinquent accounts to management.
• Implement and enforce credit control policies and procedures.
• Conduct credit checks on new customers and assess creditworthiness.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Assist with the preparation of aging reports and bad debt provisions.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment issues.
