Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or HVAC design tools.
• Familiarity with Indonesian building codes and environmental regs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Professional engineering certification preferred.
• Experience with energy modelling and sustainable HVAC solutions is advantageous.
• Knowledge of building management systems is a plus.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Engineer to join PT Adi Teknik Karya Bakti in Central Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the design, installation, maintenance, and optimisation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across our diverse portfolio of projects. As an HVAC Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex mechanical engineering challenges and contribute to the development of sustainable climate control solutions for commercial and industrial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems tailored to meet specific project requirements, considering building specifications, occupancy levels, and environmental conditions
• Conduct detailed system calculations, including load analysis, ductwork sizing, and equipment selection to ensure optimal performance
• Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using industry-standard CAD software and engineering tools
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring work meets design specifications and quality standards
• Perform regular maintenance assessments and recommend system upgrades to enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs
• Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system malfunctions, implementing corrective actions and preventative maintenance measures
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution and resolution of technical issues
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Indonesian building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
• Maintain detailed records of system performance, maintenance activities, and project documentation
• Stay current with technological advancements and industry best practices in HVAC engineering

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in HVAC system design, installation, or maintenance
• Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, and refrigeration cycles
• Proficiency with HVAC design software and CAD applications (such as AutoCAD, Revit, or specialist HVAC design tools)
• Familiarity with relevant Indonesian building codes, standards, and environmental regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Valid professional engineering certification or licensure is preferred
• Experience with energy modelling and sustainable HVAC solutions is advantageous
• Knowledge of building management systems and controls is a plus
