Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Manager, Health, Safety & Environment (Professional Path) in Batam to lead the Site HSE Management System, implement comprehensive EHS programs, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will oversee investigations, training programs, and CAPA, while engaging with authorities and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (HSE), Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5 years of HSE experience in a multinational manufacturing environment (leadership role preferred).
• AK3 Umum (AK3U) certification is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience establishing, maintaining and improving HSE management systems per local and international standards.
• Experience developing HSE governance frameworks, policies, SOPs and procedures.
• Experience leading regulatory compliance programs and interfacing with authorities.
• Proven ability in risk assessments, incident investigations, CAPA, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Site HSE Management System and ensure goals are met through self-directed work and effective oversight.
• Create and implement comprehensive health, safety and environmental programs to prevent injuries and incidents.
• Inspect workplace and environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and manage training plans for environmental and employee health and safety.
• Maintain relationships with community groups and stakeholders impacted by HSE performance.
• Lead HSE audits and regulatory submissions; drive continuous improvement.
