Job summary

PaxOcean in Batam, Indonesia, is seeking an experienced HSE Lead to oversee all health, safety, and environmental activities across project execution. You will act as the main HSE focal point between the project team, client, contractors, and yard HSE organization.

Responsibilities include developing the Project HSE Plan, conducting risk assessments, driving inspections and audits, following up incidents, and reporting HSE performance to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Environmental Health & Safety.
• AK3 Madya/AK3 Utama preferred.
• Minimum 5 years HSE experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all HSE matters for the project throughout execution.
• Develop and implement the Project HSE Plan, risk assessments, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor compliance with company, client, statutory, and project HSE requirements.
• Coordinate HSE activities between Project, Operations, Engineering, Contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct project HSE inspections, audits, and site monitoring.
• Drive closure of HSE findings, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and report project HSE performance, KPIs, incidents, and trends.
• Lead HSE meetings, toolbox engagements, campaigns, and project briefings.

Job Summary

The role acts as the main HSE focal point between the project team, client, contractors, and yard HSE organization, while coordinating HSE activities across Project, Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders. The position also drives HSE inspections, audits, corrective actions, incident follow-up, emergency preparedness, and HSE performance reporting to Project Management and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Main HSE focal point between the project team, client, contractors, and yard HSE organization.
• Lead and oversee all HSE matters for the project throughout execution.
• Develop and implement the Project HSE Plan, risk assessments, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor compliance with company, client, statutory, and project HSE requirements.
• Coordinate HSE activities between Project, Operations, Engineering, Contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct project HSE inspections, audits, and site monitoring.
• Drive closure of HSE findings, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and report project HSE performance, KPIs, incidents, and trends.
• Lead HSE meetings, toolbox engagements, campaigns, and project briefings.
• Support incident investigation and follow-up for project-related incidents.
• Review and approve HSE aspects of method statements, risk assessments, permits, and work plans.
• Ensure adequate emergency preparedness and response arrangements for the project.
• Provide regular HSE updates to Project Management and senior management.
• Act as the main HSE focal point between the project team, client, contractors, and yard HSE organization.

Key Requirements

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 5 years.

Education and Key Certifications Necessary

• AK3 Madya (Occupational Health & Safety)
• AK3 Utama (Occupational Health & Safety) – an added advantage.
• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety.
