About the role a dedicated HRGA Assistant Manager to join our dynamic Human Resources and General Administration team. This is a full-time position based in Batam, Riau Islands. As HRGA Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic direction of our HR and GA functions, ensuring smooth operational excellence whilst contributing to the development and implementation of people-focused initiatives. Key responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation and administration of human resources policies, procedures and programmes that align with company objectives and legal requirements
Support recruitment activities including job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination and onboarding of new employees
Manage employee records, documentation and HR databases to ensure accuracy, confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
Assist in the coordination of employee training and development programmes, including identifying training needs and facilitating professional development opportunities
Support the administration of payroll, benefits and compensation programmes in conjunction with relevant departments
Handle employee relations matters including grievance procedures, disciplinary processes and conflict resolution with professionalism and sensitivity
Coordinate general administration activities including office management, facilities maintenance, vendor management and procurement of office supplies
Maintain health, safety and security protocols across the workplace, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards
Prepare HR and GA reports, metrics and documentation for management review and strategic planning
Provide administrative support to the HR and GA team, including scheduling, documentation and coordination of meetings and events
Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to support HR and GA objectives
What we're looking for
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in HR and General Administration roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity (Business of Shipyard, EPC or Manufacturing)
Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour laws, employment regulations and compliance requirements
Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication skills in both Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all organisational levels
Organised and detail-oriented approach to work with exceptional attention to accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions independently
Experience in payroll administration and employee benefits management is highly desirable
Familiarity with recruitment and talent acquisition processes
