We are a foreign investment engineering technology company (PMA) specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of equipment for the upstream energy industry, based in Batam. We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, ensure compliance with Indonesian labor regulations, and support the company's continued growth in a dynamic multinational environment.
The HR Manager is responsible for leading the Human Resources function and driving people strategies that align with the company's business objectives. This role oversees all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, industrial relations, learning and development, and HR compliance.
Working closely with management and cross-functional teams, the HR Manager ensures compliance with Indonesian labor regulations, develops and implements HR policies and procedures, promotes employee engagement, and supports organizational effectiveness. Experience in a PMA (Foreign Investment Company) or multinational environment and familiarity with expatriate employment matters will be considered a strong advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a reputable university.
Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Proven experience working in a PMA (Foreign Investment Company) or multinational company is required.
Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor laws, employment regulations, industrial relations, and HR compliance.
Proven experience managing the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, payroll, performance management, employee relations, industrial relations, learning & development, HR operations, compliance, and security personnel management
Experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Experience in office administration, company asset administration, workplace facilities, and general office operations is preferred.
Experience handling expatriate employment matters, including RPTKA, Notifikasi, KITAS, and other employment-related compliance, is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS.
Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Professional proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
High integrity, strong business acumen, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Lead and manage all Human Resources functions to support the company's strategic and operational objectives.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and SOPs in compliance with Indonesian labor laws and company policies.
Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and offboarding.
Oversee security operations and personnel to maintain a safe, secure, and productive working environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Manage compensation & benefits, payroll, attendance, leave administration, HR records, and employee data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Foster a positive work environment by managing employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievance handling, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Indonesian labor regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
Coordinate and oversee expatriate employment matters, including RPTKA, Notifikasi, KITAS, and other employment-related compliance, where applicable.
Oversee office administration, company asset administration, workplace facilities, and general office operations to ensure smooth daily operations.
Support management in organizational development, workforce planning, performance improvement, and talent management initiatives.
Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and HR metrics to support management decision-making.
Liaise with government authorities and external stakeholders on HR and employment-related matters.
Lead, coach, and develop the HR team while fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and compliant workplace culture.
