Legends Bistro Bar & Sports in Bali seeks an experienced HR Director to lead our people strategy and HR operations on a full-time basis. You will shape talent development, recruitment, employee relations, and compliance to support exceptional guest service and a positive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in senior HR roles, strong knowledge of Indonesian employment law, and fluency in English and Indonesian.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in senior HR management, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian employment law and Bali experience preferred.
• Experience designing and implementing HR strategies with measurable impact.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Director (DRH) to join our leadership team on a full-time basis in Bali. This is a strategic position that will be instrumental in shaping our human resources function and driving organisational excellence. As HR Director, you will oversee all aspects of human resources management, ensuring our team is engaged, motivated, and equipped to deliver outstanding service to our guests. This role requires a seasoned HR professional who can balance operational demands with strategic talent development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with the organisation's business objectives and growth plans
• Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition processes, ensuring the attraction and retention of high-quality hospitality professionals
• Manage employee relations, including performance management, conduct issues, and disciplinary procedures
• Design and deliver training and development programmes to enhance staff skills and career progression
• Ensure compliance with local employment laws, regulations, and international best practices in human resources management
• Lead the establishment and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and systems
• Manage compensation and benefits programmes to ensure competitiveness and employee satisfaction
• Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes diversity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing
• Provide strategic HR guidance and support to senior management and operational teams
• Monitor and analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making and measure departmental effectiveness
• Oversee payroll management and ensure accurate, timely processing of employee remuneration
• Manage employee health, safety, and welfare initiatives

What we're looking for

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in a senior HR management role, ideally within the hospitality industry
• Proven expertise in internal HR management and strategic HR leadership
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian employment law and regulations, with experience working in the Bali region preferred
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute HR strategies that drive business results
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all organisational levels
• Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other relevant HR software platforms
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and talent management principles
• Experience in designing and implementing employee engagement and retention programmes
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Professional HR certification such as CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent is highly desirable
• Bilingual capabilities (English and Indonesian) are strongly preferred
