Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Chief Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of national and international maritime regulations and standards.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors vessel technical performance, operational parameters, and machinery systems by analyzing historical cost and performance data.
• Coordinates vessel docking activities, manages damage repair issues, and actively supervises subcontractor execution.
• Oversees ship management vendors through periodic performance evaluations to ensure full compliance with operational standards.
• Controls running costs for maximum efficiency while coordinating vessel insurance documentation and coverage.
• Functions as the centralized information hub for vessel technical data, specifications, and fleet control documentation updates.
• Develops departmental work plans, evaluates fleet team performance, and recommends targeted training and development programs.
