Job summary

Nirvana Life Bali is seeking a Head Barista to lead the daily coffee bar operations, ensuring exceptional beverage quality, outstanding guest experiences, and a high-performing team.

You will oversee barista training, maintain operational standards, manage inventory and beverage cost control, and work with the kitchen on menu updates and new beverages. You will monitor calibration, hygiene, and equipment, coach staff, and drive continuous improvement in service excellence.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years as a barista with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and quality standards.
• Experience with inventory management and beverage cost control.
• Leadership and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the bar team
• Ensure all beverages are prepared consistently according to recipe and quality standards
• Monitor coffee calibration, beverage presentation, and product quality
• Train, Coach, and Evaluate the performance of baristas
• Manage inventory, stock ordering, and beverage cost control
• Minimize wastage and maintain accurate inventory records
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards are followed
• Coordinate with the kitchen team and management regarding menu updates and new bevrage development
• Maintain bar equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
• Deliver excellent customer service and support smooth daily operations

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Barista, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, beverage recipes, and quality standards
• Experience in inventory management and beverage cost control
• Good leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Able to train, motivate, and develop team members
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
