Job summary

Japfa is seeking skilled hatchery operators in Indonesia to run setter and hatcher machines, monitor environmental parameters, and perform routine maintenance according to SOPs.

You will handle egg setting, candling, and DOC transfers, log daily temperatures and machine status, and uphold strict biosecurity to prevent contamination. This role offers hands-on growth within a large agribusiness with a global footprint.

Qualifications

• Experience operating hatchery equipment or similar machinery.
• Ability to monitor environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, ventilation).
• Knowledge of cleaning, disinfection and preventive maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with egg setting, candling and Day-Old Chick handling processes.
• Ability to maintain daily logs and report faults or deviations.
• Understanding of biosecurity principles in hatchery environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate setter (incubation) and hatcher machines per SOPs.
• Regularly monitor and record temperature, humidity, ventilation, and egg turning.
• Perform routine inspections, cleaning, disinfection, and basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with egg setting, candling, transferring eggs from setters to hatchers, and DOC pulling.
• Maintain daily logbooks of temperature/humidity, machine status, and hatchability.
• Enforce strict biosecurity standards and maintain cleanliness in the machinery area.
