Qualifications

• Prior cashier/retail experience preferred.

• Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
• Handle cash, card payments and other payment methods with precision and security.
• Maintain a clean and organised checkout area at all times.
• Provide courteous and helpful customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Verify customer identification and payment methods in accordance with company policy.
• Balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift and report discrepancies.
• Scan products accurately and ensure correct pricing is applied.
• Assist customers with loyalty programme enrolment and benefits information.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions and communicate them to customers.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
• Follow all health, safety and security procedures.
