Job summary

PT Obsidian Stainless Steel (OSS) seeks a proactive Government Relations professional to manage permits, licenses, and regulatory affairs across Kendari. You will liaise with port authorities, maritime and fisheries agencies, and local government bodies to ensure full compliance and smooth operations.

Based on-site in Kendari, you will coordinate internal and external stakeholders, respond to inspections, and represent the company in external affairs with government partners.

Qualifications

• Fluent Mandarin both spoken and written with business communication proficiency.
• 5+ years of experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, or Legal Compliance.
• Familiar with Indonesian administrative procedures and maritime/port-related regulations; strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to be based on-site at Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi.

Responsibilities

• Permits & licenses management: responsible for application, renewal, and maintenance of all necessary permits and licenses.
• External liaison: primary contact to build and maintain relationships with Indonesian government authorities (Port Authority, KKP, local bodies).
• Internal & group coordination: coordinate government and external relations with associated companies.
• On-site support: handle on-site government inspections and regulatory visits at the field site.

Permits & Licenses Management: Responsible for the application, renewal, and maintenance of all necessary operational permits and legal compliance licenses for company

External Liaison: Act as the primary contact to build and maintain relationships with relevant Indonesian government authorities, primarily the Port Authority (Syahbandar), Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), and other local government bodies

Internal & Group Coordination: Serve as the internal foreign affairs interface for company; seamlessly coordinate government and external relations affairs with associated companies

On-site Support: Handle on-site government inspections, regulatory visits, and emergency external affairs at the field site

Job Requirements

Fluent Mandarin both spoken and written with business communication proficiency

5+ years of experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, or Legal Compliance. Direct experience dealing with port authorities, maritime affairs, or fishery ministries is highly preferred

Familiar with Indonesian administrative procedures and maritime/port-related regulations; strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Willing to be based on-site at Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi
