Job summary

PT WIK Far East Batam, a German-owned manufacturer of home appliances, seeks an experienced logistics professional to lead a team responsible for inbound material arrangements from overseas and shipping-load operations in Batam. The role emphasizes SAP WM usage, export/import compliance, and coordination with planning and sales teams.

Required are a bachelor’s in supply chain-related field, 3+ years in a similar role, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, shipping & warehousing.
Minimum 3 years working experience in the same position.
Familiar with shipping process, custom regulation, export, and import regulation.
SAP WM experience; used to do invoices, packing list, certificate of origin and Ceisa.
Familiar with customs broker, forwarder or shipping line; have Customs Expert license.
Strong interpersonal skills, communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to work under pressure.
Fluent in English reading, speaking and written.
Solid skill for Microsoft Excel.
Good attitude with adaptability to company culture and seek for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage team members to accomplish daily job arrangements for incoming materials from overseas and shipping process & loading of shipments.
Arrange transportation and forwarding services for all orders to ensure material is delivered as per schedule.
Review expediting schedules on all customer orders and obtain and forward information to planning and sales teams as per customer requirements.
Perform all duty customs sales and tax functions, including certification and verification, drawbacks, and compliance with governmental agencies.
Review freight rates: air, courier, and land; liaise with customer for shipping arrangements, with custom brokers for updated reporting procedures and valuations.
Coordinate imports and exports logistics according to the planned materials receiving and out-going loading schedule for shipment plan.
Make use of the SAP (WM) system for warehouse management and provide constructive advice/feedback for enhancing/improving the system.
Communicate with the H.K. Shipping Departments for the Schedule of Finished Goods and Imported Materials delivery against the packing list.
