Job summary

CATL in Indonesia seeks a Purchasing Planner to manage procurement for direct and indirect categories, aligning with inventory levels, production schedules and project needs, while overseeing overseas localization of categories. You will evaluate suppliers on price, quality, lead time and reliability, prepare purchase orders and reports, and collaborate with local and international partners.

Proficiency in Excel and English is required; Chinese preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply-chain operations.
• Experience dealing with local and/or international suppliers is an advantage.
• Experience preparing purchase orders, quotation comparisons, and purchasing reports.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, filtering, sorting, and data analysis.
• Experience in lithium batteries or automotive related fields; familiar with manufacturing processes and cost structures.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing planning based on inventory levels, production schedules, project requirements, and operational needs.
• Tracking progress of overseas localization of categories.
• Supplier management: identify potential suppliers and evaluate them on price, quality, reliability, capacity, and lead time.
• Process and collect data of suppliers to support supplier selection.
• Overseas project management: localization requirements, timelines, and material verification.
• Category localization procurement management for direct and indirect procurement.
• Overseas supplier management and negotiation support.
